Homemade Waffles

I wasn't planning on writing a post this weekend, but I just couldn't resist this one. I woke up this morning for this yummy yummy healthy breakfast in bed. Thanks hubs you just made my day :D
 Recipe Credit: V

V usually makes breakfast (except south indian) and I clean up all the mess he makes in the kitchen (the kitchen looks like he had a battle with all the ingredients..huhhaa.. no complaints I just love what he cooks). I am so glad he is a morning person unlike me :D I just love that I don't have to make breakfast most of the time :)  Last night I mentioned V that we had to buy some multigrain waffles that I previously saw at a local store.  I have been literally having dreams about them :D (okay... I do dream about of food... and I sometimes do salivate thinking about food..there I said it!) Anyways back to today, I was so surprised and excited to see Waffles! I literally jumped in my bed.

My first question to V was did you make waffles? He said Yes. I was like "Are you serious?"He was like "Yes I am..made them from scratch and its healthy too". Below is V's recipe:
Oats (old fashioned) - 1-1/4 cup (ground)
Whole Wheat flour - 2 cups
Condensed Milk - 2 tbsps
Baking Powder - 1/2 tsp
Baking Soda - 1/4 tsp
Eggs - 2 nos
Sugar - 2 tbsps
Salt - pinch
Butter Milk - 1/3 cup (adjust to make into thick batter - lil bit thicker than pancake batter)
(Most of V's recipes are not very precise and are on the fly, I tried to give the best measurements from what he told me)

Mix all together, pour batter in waffle maker. Once done enjoy with your favorite toppings. We had blueberries, kiwis, mango puree and cinnamon honey coffee cottage cheese. You can also use maple syrup, honey or whipped cream. This is seriously heaven. Personally loved it with mango puree. Enjoy!!
