Chudwa

I love chudwa... it was my daily snack for years..thanks to my Granny...absolutely love it.
This snack goes with anything from Tea to Tequila..makes a perfect combination. Here's the recipe...
Chudwa (Poha/ Atukulu Chudwa)

Poha - 3 cups
Murmura (Puffed Rice) - handful
Palli/Peanuts, Putnalu/Dalia - as much as you want per you liking
Sev - handful (optional)
Red Chilli powder - 1.5 tsp
Turmeric powder - a pinch
Sugar - 1/4 tsp
Curry leaves - 20
Salt per taste
Red Chilis - 5 (deseeded)
Oil - 2tsps

In a pan, fry atkulu/poha and murmura till they get crispy. In another pan, add oil and roast the nuts, red chilli and curry leaves. Remove the roasted items from the pan. To the same oil add turmeric and red chilli powder. Now add the crispy poha and murmura and stir well. Make sure each and every poha is nicely coated. Now add sugar and sev and stir. Add salt per taste. Enjoy!
